this is dds format for photoshop u must use this for open Character/Data/Texture or neointerface at you ryl2 folder. how to open gmi files? that is easy just rename it to TGA files and try open use photoshop
if wan edit the sand in  this folder address C:\Program Files\ryl2\Texture\Object use hex editor open files and you can see that code 00 00 00 7c you must change it to 44 44 53 20 7c  and try open thank you this is just simple tutorial about designer thanks free only enjoy..:D
